What could be better than a square recessed spotlight in black that is also tiltable? Well, if you don't have an answer to that, then you can go for this Mallorca GU10 LED Downlight, which is easy to conceal in the ceiling because it is ultra flat and has a small recessed installation depth.

This square aluminium luminaire is finished in matt black, which brings the necessary elegance to any interior. So you can transform your bedroom, kitchen, living room or hallway from a normal style to a more luxurious look, and all that just with recessed ceiling spots from the Mallorca series.

Installation

The Mallorca recessed spotlight is easy to install by anyone with some knowledge. Take into account the Ø75mm hole size and 60mm buil-in depth, which are one of the most important factors when it comes to installing recessed downlights. So you can choose the right hole saw and check whether the recessed spotlight with light source fits in the ceiling.

Then we can start the installation, making sure you have the holes in the ceiling ready and that there is 230V installation wire coming through the holes. You will need this to connect your downlights for power. Connect the GU10 fitting to the mains using the Wago welding clamps supplied, with which you can connect the lamps to the mains.

Once you have done this, you can mount the GU10 light source in the Mallorca luminaire, which will be done in a flash. Now grab the complete Mallorca luminaire with light source and mount the GU10 socket on the light source. This will give you an almost complete Mallorca luminaire.

As a last step, push up the fixture's clamp springs and push the fixture through the hole in the ceiling. As soon as the springs are in the ceiling, you can safely release the Mallorca fixture with light source. Switch on the power and now enjoy your GU10 spotlights.

Where to install

Because the Mallorca luminaire has an IP20 value, you can only use it in dry areas. This means that this tiltable recessed spotlight is suitable for living room, bedroom, dining room, hallway, kitchen, office, shops, showrooms, etc.

Mounting tip: Keep in mind when mounting the light that there must be a minimum circulation space of 10 to 15 centimeters behind the light source. This allows any heat to escape to prevent overheating.
