The 12-volt recessed downlights use the Tuya protocol, which works with hundreds of smart brands worldwide. This means you can also use your favourite smart home app. Here is a small selection of the smart functions:

• Link to Smart Assistant: Using the Hoftronic Smart app, you can easily link the smart lights to your smart assistant. This allows you to control the lights with your voice. Example: "Okay Google, turn on my lights!". Supported assistants include Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri.
• Infinitely dimmable: The intuitive interface allows you to easily and continuously dim the Sienna spotlights from 100% to 15%.
• Set timers: Set timers to automatically turn the spotlights on or off after the set time.
• Schedule: Want to be greeted by a home full of light? Simply set a schedule. You'll never come home to a dark house.
• Geofencing: Automatically turn lights off when you leave the house and on when you get home. (Available on iOS operating systems only)
• Location independent: You don't need to be on the same network to control the spotlights. If you're connected to your home network, you can also control the lights via your mobile data connection. Wherever you are in the world.
• Smart twilight switch: The Hoftronic Smart app downloads the time of sunrise and sunset each day, so you can have the lights come on automatically when it gets dark outside.

Pairing the spotlights with the Smart App

Pairing the Sienna spotlights is easy. Simply follow the steps below:

1. Download the free Hoftronic Smart app via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
3. Switch on the smart driver of the Sienna spotlights.
4. Open the Hoftronic Smart app and tap 'Add product'.
5. Then tap 'Autodetect' in the top right-hand corner.
6. Follow the steps in the app.

The Sienna spotlights come with detailed instructions on how to connect the spotlights to the app.

Smart LED recessed downlights for indoor & outdoor use

The Sienna LED recessed downlights have an IP44 protection rating. This makes them resistant to dust and (splashing) water, so they are ideal for illuminating your porch, veranda, patio roof or carport. You can safely leave them outside all year round, even when it rains or snows.

The Sienna LED recessed downlights can also be used indoors, for example, to light the following rooms or places:

• Under a kitchen cabinet
• Along a staircase
• Bathroom
• Bedroom
• Living room

Please note! These spotlights are not suitable as floor or deck spotlights.

Easy Plug & Play installation

These Sienna Cree LED spotlights feature a Plug & Play plug connection which makes installation a breeze. The recessed downlights have clamps, making them easy to place. The transformer is prepared on the 230V side with a 15 cm (5.9 inches) long cable. You can connect this directly to the mains or connect a power cord of the desired length to it. The spotlights have a 5-metre (16.4 feet) cable with AMP connectors (these look like small internet cable connections). You simply plug these into the driver without tools. Need more cable? Then you can easily extend the cables with an extra 2 or 4-metre extension cable. You click these to the recessed downlights' connection cables the same way.

Important note for installation!
The smart driver has an IP20 protection rating. This means you cannot simply place it in a damp room. There's always increased humidity outdoors that the transformer cannot withstand, even under a porch or roof. You should therefore always place it in a dry place or an IP65 waterproof junction box.

• Also order a wall dimmer so you can control the lighting on your porch from a fixed point. 

Long lifespan 

Finally, with the Sienna dimmable LED recessed downlights, you have durable outdoor lighting that will last for years. The Cree LED downlights have a lifespan of more than 25,000 hours. You use these spotlights on average 8 hours a day for 250 days a year. This means that with average use, these spotlights will last more than 12 years.
