Reduced build-in depth

When you combine the Barcelona downlight with a GU10 light source, the average recessed depth is approximately 60 mm. You can easily reduce this recessed depth by using an LED module. With an LED module as a light source, the recessed depth is only 60 mm. This is ideal if you don't have much room but would still like to install this beautiful recessed spot somewhere! In short, the LED module makes it possible to place the Barcelona recessed spotlight in even more locations within the home with a low recessed depth.

LED Module

The LED module that is supplied as standard is fitted with the latest LED chips, making it extremely energy-efficient, with an energy consumption of just 3.8 Watt. Despite this low consumption, the module delivers a light output of 270 lumens, making it suitable for illuminating objects or lighting rooms. In addition, the LED module is dimmable, which means that the light intensity can be set exactly as you wish, although a suitable LED dimmer is still required. The cool white light colour of 6000K enables you to create a productive atmosphere in no time at all in, for example, the living room, bedroom, kitchen or bathroom. 

The lifespan of the LED light source module is 20,000 hours, which means that you will have years of pleasure from the LED light source module. The universal size of the module makes it easy to replace a regular GU10 light source, as it fits virtually every GU10 fixture on the market. The LED module is a light source with low recessed depth, which is ideal as a replacement for a traditional GU10 lamp. In most GU10 fittings for recessed lights there is also a GU10 holder in the fitting, in which you can easily place the LED module without tools.

When installing new spots in a ceiling, there is not always enough space left to place the light source. This LED module has a built-in depth of only 29mm! As a result, this module can be installed in practically any place. Think of lowered ceilings, bedrooms, living rooms or in the kitchen!

Made of maintenance-free aluminium

The fixture of this Barcelona recessed spotlight is made of maintenance-free aluminium. The property of this material is that dirt and dust adhere poorly. This means that the spots have to be cleaned less often and you can enjoy them for a long time. 

6000K cool white light colour

The LED module in this recessed spotlight emits a cool white light colour. This light colour is perfect for stimulating productivity in rooms where this is desirable. Think of your study, garage or other spaces where good concentration is desirable.

IP44

The Barcelona spotlights have an IP rating of IP44. This makes the ceiling spots suitable not only for dry rooms such as bedrooms, living rooms and attics, but also for the more humid areas of the house such as bathrooms and kitchens. 

Small beam angle

The small beam angle of 50 degrees ensures that you can place several Barcelona recessed lights close together without the light beams crossing each other. This makes the recessed spotlights very suitable for installation in a cove or above a dining table. The narrow beam is also important for accent lighting, as the light from the recessed spotlight is then more concentrated. More light will fall on the object to be illuminated and less on the wall behind it. 

Installation tip: When installing the light, take into account that there should be a minimum circulation space of 10 to 15 centimetres behind the light source. This allows any heat to escape to prevent overheating.
