Reduced recessed depth

If you combine the Porto recessed spotlight with a GU10 light source, the average recessed depth is around 90mm. You can easily reduce this recessed depth by using an LED module. With an LED module as a light source, the recessed depth is only 60mm. This is ideal if you don't have much room but would still like to install this beautiful recessed spot somewhere! In short, the LED module makes it possible to place the Porto recessed spotlight in even more locations within the house with a low recessed depth.

LED Module

The LED module that is supplied as standard is fitted with the latest LED chips, making it extremely energy-efficient with a power consumption of just 3.8W. Despite this low consumption, the module delivers a light output of 270 lumens, making it suitable for illuminating objects or lighting spaces. In addition, the LED module is dimmable, which means that the light intensity can be set exactly as you wish, although a suitable LED dimmer is still required. The warm white light colour of 2700K enables you to create a pleasant atmosphere in no time at all in, for example, the living room, bedroom, kitchen or bathroom. 

The lifespan of the LED light source module is 20,000 hours, which means that you will have years of pleasure from the LED light source module. The universal size of the module makes it easy to replace a regular GU10 light source, as it fits virtually every GU10 fixture on the market. The LED module is a light source with low recessed depth, which is ideal as a replacement for a traditional GU10 lamp. In most GU10 fittings for recessed spots there is also a GU10 holder in the fitting, in which you can easily place the LED module without tools.

When installing new spotlights in a ceiling, there is not always enough space left to place the light source. This LED module has a built-in depth of only 29mm! Therefore this module can be installed in practically any place. Think of lowered ceilings, bedrooms, living rooms or in the kitchen.

Made of maintenance-free aluminium

The Porto recessed spotlight is made of maintenance-free aluminium. This material has the property that dirt and dust have difficulty adhering. As a result, the spotlight has to be cleaned less frequently and you can enjoy it for a long time. 

2700K warm white light colour

The GU10 light source in this recessed spotlight emits a warm white light colour. This light colour is perfect for atmospheric lighting of spaces. Think of the living room, bedroom or other areas where you mainly relax. The light colour is also very suitable for warm accentuation of a statue, painting or plant. 

IP44

The 6 Porto recessed spots have an IP value of IP44. This makes the ceiling spotlights not only ideal for dry rooms such as the bedroom, living room and attic but also for the more humid areas of the home such as bathrooms and kitchens. 

Small beam angle

The small beam angle means you can place several Porto recessed lights close together without the light beams crossing. This makes the recessed spotlights ideal for mounting in a cove or above a dining table. The narrow beam is also important for accent lighting, as the light from the recessed spotlight is then more concentrated. More light will fall on the object to be illuminated and less on the wall behind it. 

Installation tip: When installing the light, take into account that there should be a minimum circulation space of 10 to 15 centimetres behind the light source. This allows any heat to escape to prevent overheating.
