This means you can also use your favourite smart home app. Here is a small selection of the smart functions:

• Link to Smart Assistant: Using the Hoftronic Smart app, you can easily link the smart lights to your smart assistant. This allows you to control the lights with your voice. Example: "Okay, Google, turn on my lights!". Supported assistants include Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri.
• Infinitely dimmable: The intuitive interface allows you to easily and continuously dim the Milano spotlights from 100% to 15%.
• Set timers: Set timers to automatically turn the spotlights on or off after the set time.
• Schedule: Want to be greeted by a home full of light? Simply set a schedule. You'll never come home to a dark house.
• Geofencing: Automatically turn lights off when you leave the house and on when you get home. (Available on iOS operating systems only)
• Location independent: You don't need to be on the same network to control the spotlights. If you're connected to your home network, you can also control the lights via your mobile data connection. Wherever you are in the world.

Pairing the spotlights with the Smart App

Pairing the Milano spotlights is easy. Simply follow the steps below:

1. Download the free Hoftronic Smart app via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
3. Switch on the smart driver of the Milano spotlights.
4. Open the Hoftronic Smart app and tap 'Add product'.
5. Then tap 'Autodetect' in the top right-hand corner.
6. Follow the steps in the app.

The Milano spotlights come with detailed instructions on how to connect the spotlights to the app.

Smart LED recessed downlights for indoor & outdoor use

The Milano LED veranda recessed downlights are dust- and water-resistant thanks to the IP65 protection rating. This makes them perfect not only for outdoor lighting, like on your veranda, patio roof, or the roof of your garden shed or carport, but also for any damp room or environment. You can even hang them above a shower area without any problems. In addition, they're made of maintenance-free aluminium, so you can confidently leave them outdoors all year round, even during rain or snowfalls.

Easy Plug & Play installation

These Milano Cree LED spotlights feature a Plug & Play plug connection which makes installation a breeze. The recessed downlights have clamps, making them easy to place. The transformer is prepared on the 230V side with a 15 cm (5.9 inches) long cable. You can connect this directly to the mains or connect a power cord of the desired length to it. The spotlights have a 5-metre (16.4 feet) cable with AMP connectors (these look like small internet cable connections). You simply plug these into the driver without tools. Need more cable? Then you can easily extend the cables with an extra 2 or 4-metre extension cable. You click these to the recessed downlights' connection cables the same way.

Important note for installation!
The smart driver has an IP20 protection rating. This means you cannot simply place it in a damp room. There's always increased humidity outdoors that the transformer cannot withstand, even under a porch or roof. You should therefore always place it in a dry place or an IP65 waterproof junction box.
