The ceiling spot is provided with an IP65 protection class and made of maintenance-free aluminium. This means that the spot will not rust and defects caused by moisture are excluded. The Gibbon has a matt white colour, which is non-reflective. The matt white spots look stylish and modern on a snow-white ceiling. Naturally, the high protection class ensures that the ceiling spots are also suitable for outdoor use.

• IP65 waterproof: The Gibbon is completely seamless and equipped with water-repellent rubbers. This gives the Gibbon an IP65 waterproof rating. This ensures that you can use the ceiling spotlight in the bathroom or even outside.
• Maintenance-free aluminium: The Gibbon is made of maintenance-free aluminium. This material is lightweight, does not rust and attracts little or no dirt and dust. So you don't have to climb the kitchen stairs as often to clean the spotlight.
• Matt-white powder coating: The maintenance-free aluminium has a matt-white, moisture-resistant and UV-resistant powder coating. This ensures that the ceiling spotlight does not discolour and the coating does not flake off after long exposure to moisture.

Dozens of smart functions

Link the ground spot to the free Hoftronic Smart app and you get access to dozens of smart functions. So you can get the most out of your smart lighting. A small selection of these smart functions are:

• Planning: By making schedules, you can have the ground spot automatically switch on at set times. This way you can ensure that the lighting is on when you get home or use the smart ground spots as a wake-up light
• Geofencing: Have the ground spots react on the basis of your location. Leaving the house? Then your lighting switches off automatically. Coming home? Then you are welcomed by your favourite light scene (only available on IOS operating systems)
• Weather-based: Have the light colour change based on the weather. Is it cold and bleak outside? Then these ground spots provide some extra warmth outside your home with a warm light colour
• Intuitive colour wheel: The colours of the ground spots can be easily and quickly adjusted via the intuitive colour wheel. This allows you to choose from more than 16.5 million colours and, of course, all shades of white (2700K - 6500K) within a few seconds
• Link to smart assistant: Via the Hoftronic Smart app you can easily link the smart lighting to your smart assistant. This allows you to control the ground spots with your voice: "Ok Google, turn on my ground spot"
• Setting scenes: Through various preset scenes, you can easily adjust the colours of your lights. Of course you can also create your own scenes that suit you best

Despite the economy of the spot, it provides more than enough light with 345 lumens and replaces a 50W halogen spot. The spot also has no less than 50,000 burning hours.

IP65 protection

This surface-mounted ceiling spot Gibbon has a high-quality aluminium finish in the colour white. The fixture is seamlessly finished and therefore provided with an IP65 watertightness. The 6 stands for the dust tightness of the lamp. In this case, this means that the lamp is completely dustproof. The 5 stands for the waterproofness of the wall lamp. In this case, this means that the wall light is resistant to direct contact with rain, snow and sleet. You can therefore confidently leave the surface-mounted spotlight hanging outside all year round or use it in the bathroom.

Of course, the Gibbon is also very suitable for use indoors. Thanks to the high protection against moisture and dust and atmospheric light colour, you can hang the wall light anywhere!

Easy installation 

The advantage of this unique surface-mounted ceiling spot is that it is easy to mount on a ceiling where recessed is not possible. You can therefore place this fixture in any space. The Gibbon is easy to install due to the common dimensions of 90 x 90 x 95 mm. The surface-mounted ceiling spotlight with a maximum output of 35 Watt is designed so that it can be connected without using a transformer; you just need a screwdriver to attach this fixture to the ceiling and any terminal blocks, so it's very simple!
