Colour temperatures in T8 tubes
At INTOLED you will find T8 LED tubes in different colour temperatures. The 3000K T8 tubes have a warm white light colour. This is often perceived as pleasant, because it creates a warm atmosphere in the house. In addition, there are the neutral white LED T8 tubes, namely the 4000K T8 tubes. Thanks to the neutral light colour 840, these are suitable for almost every imaginable room. Are you rather looking for fluorescent tubes for rooms with little or no natural light? Then the T8 tubes 6000K and the T8 tubes 6400K are a suitable choice.
Suitable for G13 fitting
The T8 tubes are suitable for LED fixtures with a T8 fitting. The most common term for this fitting is a G13 fitting. The T8 tube is the most common, so the G13 fitting is also a common fitting in tube fixtures. A conventional T8 fluorescent tube can easily be replaced for a T8 LED tube with a G13 fitting.
Differences between T8 tube and T5 tube
With a T8 tube, the pins for the power connection are 8 mm apart. With a T5 tube the distance between the two pins is 5 mm. There are also differences in the thickness of the tubes. A T8 TL tube has a diameter of 2.5 cm and a T5 TL tube has a diameter of 1.5 cm. There are also no differences between the two types of fluorescent tubes. This was previously the case with conventional fluorescent tubes. The T8 fluorescent tube would consume more electricity than a T5 fluorescent tube. Today they are just as economical.
