Replaceable GU10 light sources

The Durham set is supplied as standard with high-quality GU10 light sources from HOFTRONIC. The light source in the recessed spotlight is interchangeable. The great advantage of this is that, in the event of a defect in the light source, you only have to replace the GU10 spotlight and not the entire recessed spotlight. It also allows you to adjust the light colour and brightness of the recessed spot yourself.

Tilting

The Durham recessed spots can be tilted, so you can easily use the LED spots to add light accents in your home. For example, by illuminating a painting, a plant or a statue. In addition, the ceiling spots can also be used as main lighting and atmospheric lighting.

Made of aluminium

The fittings of the Durham LED downlights are made of aluminium. The property of this material is that dirt and dust adhere poorly to it. This means that you don't have to clean the spots as often and you can enjoy the colour of the fixture for a long time. The Durham is available in three colours: white and black.

RGBWW

Because Durham's smart recessed spots contain a 5.5W RGBWW GU10 LED spot, you can choose from more than 16.5 million different colours. You can do this using an intuitive colour wheel on your phone. In addition to the wide range of colours available, these spotlights also allow you to set different shades of white. Small beam angle

The small beam angle of 38 degrees means you can place several Durham recessed lights close together without the beams crossing. This makes the recessed spotlights ideal for mounting in a cove or above a dining table. The narrow beam is also important for accent lighting, as the light from the recessed spotlight is then more concentrated. More light will fall on the object to be illuminated instead of being lost in the room.

• Planning: By creating schedules, you can have the LED ceiling spots turn on automatically at set times. This way you can make sure the lights are on when you get home. Or use your spotlights as wake-up lights
• Geofencing: Make the recessed spots react based on your location. Leaving the house? Then your lights switch off automatically. Coming home? Then you are welcomed by your favourite light scene. This function also makes the smart built-in spotlights ideal for protecting your home against burglars (only available on IOS operating systems)
• Biorhythm-based adjustment: The colour temperature and brightness are automatically adjusted at different times of the day according to your biological rhythm. During the day, they help inhibit melatonin release, making you more energetic. At night, it helps increase melatonin release, which relaxes you and helps you fall asleep
• Weather adjustment: Change the light colour based on the weather. Is it cold and bleak outside? Then this recessed LED spotlight provides some extra warmth in your home with a warm light colour

Seamless connect, guaranteed connection

Seamless connect is the always successful connection of the smart recessed spot to the 2.4 GhZ WiFi network. This is because the Durham uses both WiFi and Bluetooth. Bluetooth is what the lamp uses to connect to the network. This works as follows: when the lamp is switched on, it looks for Bluetooth signals in the area. In this way the lamp finds your smartphone. The Durham then connects to your smartphone and retrieves the network data from your smartphone. It will send this data to the Durham and it will connect to the WiFi network. In this way, the connection is always guaranteed.

You do not need a bridge to connect the recessed spotlight to the WiFi network.

Installation advice: When installing the light, take into account that there must be a minimum circulation space of 10 to 15 centimetres behind the light source. This allows any heat to escape to prevent overheating.
