This set of 6 Virginia recessed downlights is a versatile, compact luminaire that is easy to install and requires little or no maintenance. The recessed downlights are lightweight and have a shallow recess depth, allowing them to be used almost anywhere.

A sustainable option

The virginia is the sustainable option for offices, public spaces and surgeries. This is because the downlight is made of very light polypropylene and polystyrene that lasts a long time. It also uses much less energy than fluorescent lighting, saving up to 80%. 

The recessed downlight is a versatile spotlight that can be recessed into almost any ceiling.  The mini LED panel has an installation depth of 25mm. This makes it easy to install these LED spots in suspended and false ceilings. The LED lamps weigh a maximum of 100 grams per light source. This makes them suitable for older and slightly weaker ceilings. 

Typical applications

These recessed downlights are very similar to small LED panels. They are therefore often referred to as mini LED panels. And where do you not see LED panels these days? The downlights are therefore widely used in hospital waiting rooms, dental surgeries and other healthcare facilities. They provide a bright, diffuse light that is easy on the eye. They are also easy to maintain. You can simply wipe them with a damp cloth.

Mounting

The spotlights are easy to install in the ceiling.  You cut a hole to the correct size, secure the power cables with a welder's clamp and then simply click the light source into the hole. The clips on the side of the light source ensure that the recessed downlights stay neatly in place. 

The Virginia's do not require an external driver and can therefore be connected directly to the 230V mains supply.
